Version 2 or later of the 21st Designs theme for WordPress comes with Application Manager integrated. 21st Designs is a child-theme, relying on the Divi theme to be installed and active.
The Application Manager integration within 21st Designs requires Divi in order to output results from Application Manager.
Configuring Application Manager settings within the theme config menu
When logged into your WordPress site with an Administrator account, a ‘21st Webb Config’ option should be displayed in your WordPress dashboard’s navigation menu on the left of your screen.
Here you will find a range of different configuration options for the 21st Designs theme. Navigate to the section titled ‘Application Manager Settings’. Here you will find 2 fields for configuring your Application Manager integration:
- App Manager Root URL: this should be the root URL for your instance of Application Manager, and should not include any trailing slashes or subdirectories. E.g. https://applicationmanager.com , https://21stwebb.com/applicationmanager or https://applicationmanager.21stwebb.com
- Authentication Key: this can be generated within the Authentication Key’s section within your instance of Application Manager. For more information, click here.
Once you have filled in these 2 fields, click the ‘Save Changes’ button to store the Application Manager configuration settings into your WordPress database.
Outputting Application Manager statistics
21st Designs is a child-theme of Divi, and therefore the Application Manager integration requires Divi theme to be installed and active in order to output statistics from Application Manager.
Application Manager statistics can be output in the form of any of the following Divi modules:
- Divi Number Counter
- Divi Circle Counter
- Divi Bar Counter
To include Application Manager statistics within your Divi-designed page, you need to include either of the following shortcodes; which can be done by using the ‘Code’ module within Divi:
- [divi_number_counter stat-id=' ']
- [divi_circle_counter stat-id=' ']
- [divi_bar_counter stat-id=' ']
Each of these shortcodes have the following parameters:
- stat-id: this is a required parameter, and should contain the ID number of the Overall or Individual statistic you want Application Manager to return.
- url: this is an optional parameter, which if set should contain the root URL for your instance of Application Manager from where you want to retrieve stats from. If this is not set, the Application Manager Root URL will be obtained from the 21st Webb Config settings.
- auth-key: this is an optional parameter, which is set should contain a valid auth key for enabling access to stats within your instance of Application Manager. If this is not set, the Authentication Key will be obtained from the 21st Webb Config settings.
- percent-sign: this is an optional parameter which can be set to either ‘Yes’ or ‘Off’. By default, this will be set to ‘Off’. If set to ‘Yes’, a percent sign will be displayed next to the statistic value returned from Application Manager.
- disabled: this is an optional parameter which can be set to either ‘Yes’ or ‘Off’. By default, this will be set to ‘Off’.
- stat-type: this is an optional parameter which can eb set to either ‘Overall’ or ‘Individual’. If this is not set, Application Manager will return an Overall Statistic by default. If this is set to ‘Individual’, Application Manager will return an Individual App Statistic.
- caption: this is an optional parameter which can contain any text you would like to display in the caption under the statistic value. If this is not set, Application Manager will return the name of the statistic you are requesting, and display that as the caption by default.
